Chris Newman is the founder of Sylvanaqua Farms, and is a Black and Indigenous (Choptico Piscataway) farmer in Virginia’s Northern Neck working to build an integrated, BIPOC-led, sovereign food economy on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
